Philosophy

At Earthitects, a subsidiary of Orange County Resorts & Hotels Ltd., we are dedicated to the spirit of the land. We believe that every dwelling should blend seamlessly into its natural habitat, and emanate from the very earth that binds us all.

Enshrined within us are the tenets of our promoters – the House of Ramapuram, that cherish ‘Excellence Rooted in Values’. This has been the light that has guided us as we built some of the world’s most acclaimed resorts, which gave a new meaning to rustic chic.

Rooted in the values of the land, and honed, over time, in some of the most awarded luxury resorts in Asia, our Service Standards are quite legendary. Those selfsame values shall drive all the services and amenities that you’ll experience in all our projects.

George Ramapuram Sr.

Since a young age, George Ramapuram Sr., was someone who was proficient in building islands of calm in the middle of a teeming crowd. As the seventh child, out of eleven, he learnt to bypass crowds and find his own space.

After school, he graduated in Architecture from the REC, Trichy, and then interned at that monument to parallel thinking: Auroservice d’Auroviile, Pondicherry. It was almost like a homecoming as he found inspiration in the works of the Chief Architect, Roger Anger, and other French architects and their sustainable, environmentally assimilative school of thought.

George Ramapuram Sr., with his finely developed sensitivity to the vernacular soul that lies under the skin of the soil, went on to create a signature style that has assimilated the cultural muscle memory of every region and its natural building materials.

His signature style is visible to the world at the globally feted resorts of Orange County that have been designed by him in keeping with the philosophy of ‘Spirit of the Land’, of which he is the natural flag bearer.

The Team

George Ramapuram Sr. is assisted by a young and enthusiastic team which, in the natural order of things, is led by none other than George Ramapuram Jr.

George Ramapuram Jr. completed his formal architectural education from The University School of Design, Mysore in 2011 and is pursuing his Masters from Indian School of Business, Mohali. However, as a young member of the House of Ramapuram, the philosophy of the spirit of the land is engrained in his genes. Under the mentorship of George Ramapuram Sr. this inbuilt sensitivity finds expression in his designs as he embarks on a journey to evolve his own signature style.
